| The SOFIA EPO team
visited United Airlines' Believer's Program at Johnson School in Chicago
on June 1. United Airlines adopted a class two years ago and promised
these students financial support for their college educations. The
students are now in grade 8 and looking forward to high school. UAL
sponsors many activities at the school and provides mentors and an
onsite project coordinator. The SOFIA team presented an assembly program
on airborne astronomy sth, 7th, and 8th graders at the school. |
