The Nasmyth Tube
The Nasmyth Tube attached to the Star Frame. The Star Frame rigidly interconnects the telescope optical assembly (the Metering Structure which holds the mirror) to the Nasmyth Tube. The red structure at the bottom of the tube serves as a fixture for handling the assembly as well as a drilling template to drill for the Star Frame and Metering Structure fastners.
