Kayser-Threde

Kayser-Threde was founded in Munich in 1967 and has developed into a major player in the high-tech sector. The company specializes in the development and manufacture of complex systems for aerospace and science applications as well as for industrial pruposes.

Along with Man Technologie, Kayser-Threde is part of the consortium of German companies under contract to the German Aerospace Center (DLR) to build the telescope for the SOFIA project. Kayser-Threde's responsibilities for the telescope include the development of the optical subsystem, the scientific instrument flange, the tracking subsystem, the master control processor and the electrical subsystem.
