SOFIA focus areas/responsibilities:
Develop and document the scientific and processing requirements for Data Reduction Pipeline (DRP). Plan and implement upgrades to the DRP.
Develop and document a Verification and Validation plan for DRP. Carry out all the V & V activities.
Design and implement calibration plans for the facility instruments: FORCAST and FLITECAM.
Research interests:
Investigating physical and chemical properties of solid grains in various phases of interstellar medium, effects of star formation on the grains in circumstellar environments, creation and destruction of organics in ISM and circumstellar disks.
